Every Fall, Wingspan plays host to Brazilian exchange students studying at the Kennedy Space Center International Academy. With meetings once a week for two months, Wingspan socializes with the students, gives them a tour of Viera High School, and shares a dinner with them.

In 2021, we started 2 FIRST Lego League teams at Viera Elementary: the FALCLAWWS and the Robopuffins. Led by members of our team, we provided them with mentorship for their presentations and robot code. During the 2023 season, these teams joined into one: the Viera Falcon Force. Throughout these years we have acted as mock judges for their Innovation Projects and provided a guiding hand for their robots. 

During the summer we host a 30 hour STEAM Camp, where we teach elementary and middle school kids with the fundamentals of STEAM and FIRST. With creative activities such as catapults and even coding an FLL robot, our camp provides an amazing introduction to the benefits of exploring robotics. Additionally, as all proceeds go into funding for team travel, robot production, and business operations, it ensures the sustainability of our team and the year to year improvement of the camp.
